Handmade Book: Round Trip Travel Journal

  • Createful Studio 1004 Irwin Street San Rafael, CA, 94901 United States (map)

Workshop with Bibi Summer

$60

If you or someone you know likes to keep a travel journal, creating a handmade journal in this one day workshop will make the next trip all the more meaningful. Compact and portable, this hardbound book is as much fun as it is functional. Named after the square dance, we will use the Do-si-Do bookbinding method to move the reader (and the writer) front to back and back to front. It will delight the journaler from beginning to end—and from end to beginning! We’re also going to take it to the next level by adding special pockets to hold travel memorabilia, a fun peek-a-book window and plenty of blank pages for journaling and sketching.  You will leave the workshop with a one of a kind handcrafted Round Trip Travel Journal—and you the bookmaker will be amazed that you can create such a treasure!
