Workshop with Nancy Nichols
Discover that painting with coffee actually makes it easier for you to paint! Novice painters are not intimidated by coffee and quickly begin to be comfortable with painting. More advanced painters find that painting with coffee offers possibilities different from watercolor and other traditional mediums.
This introductory workshop opens with easy exercises that allow you to loosen up and forget yourself and what you think you should be doing, and leads to delightful surprises that seem to happen only when painting with coffee. Think of it as painting outside the box.
Class size is limited to allow more time for one-on-one instruction.
All supplies provided at the studio.
“I believe creative expression through art can be comfortable for everyone—even if it’s just for fun. Anyone who has an appreciation or interest in art or nature can paint with coffee.Because coffee is different from traditional watercolor painting with it can unblock inhibitions beginners typically have.”
“Coffee Artist” and watercolorist Nancy Nichols took her first sip of coffee at a young age and has enjoyed it strong and black ever since. She stumbled upon coffee as a painting medium while working as a coffee barrista years ago, and she now teaches coffee painting regularly in Marin County. When she is not painting Nancy expresses herself through collage, mixed media and also designs personal websites for artists.
