Studio Highlights Last Week

I'm really getting into Instagram. What a great way to share snapshots of moments in the studio—and I also get to share a little about my own arting journey in a way that I hope helps you think about yours! For those of you who aren't on Instagram—come join me!

Here is what happened last week...

Art Fix classes were a blast!

What a fun Art Fix day at the studio yesterday. Handmade designs, stamps and lots of fun paper tape and papers - oh the future projects we will make with all of this art fodder...

It's official. Taking off Friday afternoon to create is starting the weekend early! Art Fix now every other Friday is amazing! See our work in other pics attached--very cool project.

I was busy finishing the last leg of my own 30 day “quick collage challenge”—and I did it. I completed all 30! Basically, I challenged myself to create quick collages every day for 30 days . The challenge (besides just doing it) was that I could only use ONE magazine page for each collage, a glue stick and scissors.

I shared many of the daily collages on Instagram. Here is my final recap:

Five Things I Learned From my Quick Collage 30-Day Challenge 1. Working within constraints stretches creativity. 2. Subconscious rules. 3. My rational mind wants control—but to let go is essential. 4. My Inner Critic is alive and kicking—but I kicked her butt . 5. Fails Happen—Next? . Overall, this 30 Day Challenge was a great growth experience and I’m ready to tackle another one. (For me, 30 days is just enough time to stretch those creative muscles without getting burned out.) I am going to start my next 30 Day Challenge right away. I’ll let you know all about it!

Oh - and it was spring break week with my beautiful daughters. What a great week!

"Good morning!!! It's been SO long since I saw you...last night when we went to bed!"
